Check the source, not just the sentence
A fluent answer can still be incomplete or incorrect. Verify important claims against the original document or an authoritative source. Confirm that a citation actually supports the claim beside it.
Recalculate the numbers
Check units, date ranges, denominators and assumptions. Reproduce a sample calculation independently before using the result in a report or presentation.
Look for missing context
Ask what the answer leaves out: exceptions, data quality issues, alternative explanations or dependencies. Distinguish established facts from suggestions and assumptions.
Control the next action
Drafting a change and applying it are different steps. Review commands, recipients, permissions and affected systems before allowing an AI-assisted workflow to make a consequential change.
Keep the review proportionate
A low-risk brainstorming list needs a lighter check than a financial recommendation or production-system change. Match the review to the possible impact, not the confidence of the wording.
